HISTORY:

Zubieri Trading Company (ZTC) was founded in 1939 by Hassan Lutf Al-Zubieri with the goal of improving the trade and quality of life of ordinary Yemenis. ZTC was initially founded in the Port of Aden and was primarily involved in the importation and trading of consumer goods. Then in 1962 the company CEO at the time, Mr. Hassan Lutf Al-Zubieri, began importing sewing machines, tires, batteries for cars from Egypt and China.

In 1970 Mr. Mohamed H. Al-Zubieri was elected as the new CEO of ZTC, and he renamed Zubieri Trading Co. (later) to Zubieri PowerSystems.

He brought with him a professional ethic which helped reshape the entire business strategy of ZPS later. Under his leadership ZPS began an extensive diversification of its business interests and one avenue it pursued was in Heavy Equipment and High Tech products. ZPS Companies such as , Rasyan Co., Orient Motors (OMO) which became integral part of ZPS core business.

Mohamed H. Al-Zubieri has been for 18 years the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Yemen Chamber of Commerce and Industries and has led Yemen trade delegations representing local business interests to Europe and North America. Currently he is the Chairman of Yemen Gulf Bank and also the honorary Consul of South Africa.
